IRMA Privacy-Friendly Identity Platform
"I Reveal My Attributes" (IRMA) is a privacy-friendly identity platform for authentication and signing.
Impacts
The IRMA app allows users to securely store personal data or "attributes" - such as age, bank account, membership - and only share them when necessary. IRMA is developed open source by Privacy by Design Foundation in collaboration with SIDN and is being piloted by several municipalities, including the city of Amsterdam. Amsterdam is planning to use IRMA in order to give citizens more control over which personal data they share online.
