CECOT Renovables

Among other initiatives, CECOT has launched the Office for Energy Transition, which has the main support of several entities, city councils (including Terrassa), companies and specialized engineering firms, as well as financial institutions.

Its objective is to promote the energy transition among the companies in our environment, encouraging cost savings, energy efficiency, the implementation of renewable energy systems or the energy self-consumption (e.g. photovoltaic energy).

The way in which CECOT’s Energy Transition Office helps companies to achieve these goals is by:

• Monitoring the normative and regulatory framework, to defend the interests of SMEs.
• Proposing the simplification of municipal ordinances and permits as well as the promotion of fiscal aids at the municipal level, with the aim of helping SMEs in the administrative procedures of energy efficiency projects and also in the processing of grants and subsidies.
• Encouraging the different administrations involved to promote actions that promote energy efficiency in SMEs.
• Monitoring the evolution of the sector, new technologies and best practices in energy efficiency. Informing, advising and training companies on efficiency, renewable energies, self-consumption, distributed generation, circular economy, electrification and sustainable mobility, to help them to their implementation.
• Supporting companies in their energy transition projects, advising them and brokering with different suppliers to ensure the best costs, maximum return on investment, the best quality and the shortest delivery times.
• Detecting opportunities for improvement and promoting efficiency, self-consumption and energy transformation of companies, industrial parks and the local environment, through the development of distributed generation projects, proximity markets of renewable energy aggregation or sustainable mobility, with the help of different partners.
